I’m Alisha and I’m thrilled you’re here! I love capturing all the seasons of life and I want to do that for you too!
A full family session might seem like a lot. And I get it, it is a lot to get everyone dressed up and smiling and happy. And then find a location, think up poses, try to find someone to snap some pictures and on top of that keep your family looking happy for a whole hour.
When you hire a family photographer, you don’t need to worry about any of that! Well, maybe the outfit part. But even then, I love to send my clients an outfit guide that makes this process much easier! I also am delighted to do location scouting and give suggestions for locations.
My job as a photographer is to tell you what to do as far as posing and also making sure everyone has a great time. I want you to have lots of fun during your family session, that way when you look back at your photos, you remember how you felt.
How your daughter giggled when her daddy tossed her in the air.
How your son hugged his mama.
Photos are one of the few things that actually gain value as time goes on, instead of losing value. Photos of your children as toddler. As teenagers. All through life. And sometimes we don’t realize the value of photos until that’s all we have left.
So hug your children. Have fun with them.
Make the memories. Take the photos.
And relive the moments through your photos.
Why I Love What I Do
Moments pass. Children grow up. Your siblings get married. Maybe someone passes on. And what if you don’t have photos of them? Since my grandparents have passed away, I’ve come to really treasure the photos I have of them.
I love capturing all the fun and memories that families have together. Photographing families and couples is such a great reminder of the things that are most important. Saving your memories is such an honor and I don’t take it lightly.
My Style
Clean. Light. Timeless.
I want your photos to feel just as beautiful 20 years from now as they do today! For that reason, my chosen editing style is true to life in color and light. I pick my location based light first and I love glowy light. Not a bit ashamed of sounding like a crazy person when the light is perfect and my clients and location are awesome!
Everyone wants the traditional photo where everyone is smiling everyone is smiling at the camera, but I’ve found that my clients really love the candid ones where they are having fun together. And so I do my best to get a good mix of the two.

My Approach
From the moment we connect, I want to help you feel confident and comfortable. I’ll be there to answer any questions you have, making sure you don’t feel lost in the process. During your session, I’ll talk you through every pose, while also keeping the atmosphere light and fun. My goal is that you enjoy the moment, and I take care of the rest!
I am totally in love with the photos! I really liked how we just flowed from one pose to the next, there wasn’t a lot of wasted time but it was still relaxed and enjoyable. I like your editing style, it isn’t too airy but isn’t too moody or dramatic either. Alisha was well prepared and I shouldn’t have worried about poses! I was mostly excited to be able to just trust the person behind the camera! You won’t regret booking your session! We’re only in this stage of life one time and in years to come you’ll wish you had took nice professional pictures to look back on! There were no awkward moments, Alisha explained a pose well so we understood how she wanted us. It felt like I made a new friend through it all and it was just lovely! You might be wondering, why take pictures for a whole hour? Isn’t that excessive? And the answer is no. What do you think of when you think of family pictures? Do you think of a fun time hanging out together and making memories?
Or do you think of it being a stressful time and no one really enjoys it? Well, I’m here to prove to you that you can have lots of fun taking family pictures!!
The reason we will spend an hour together is so that you have time to get comfortable and relaxed so that you can have fun. An hour is long enough that we can get lots of variety, but we also aren’t feeling rushed and stressed. I make sure to capture your whole family with everyone looking at the camera and smiling. But I also really love the fun candid shots where your personalities come out!
Some of my favorite family portraits are the ones where not everyone is smiling perfectly! I love capturing siblings together, mom with the girls, dad with the boys, and other combinations. So this is not a “Smile at the camera for one picture and then we’re done.” This is a time for you and your family to make fun memories together while I capture that for you!
